Isaac has known Harriet since he was very young. He thinks the world of her and she was a natural choice to teach him to play the guitar. Her teaching style is calm and relaxed and he learnt a great deal. The fact that she taught herself how to play gives her a very secure knowledge of what others need to know in order to develop their own skills. Isaac said: Harriet is really funny and made learning the guitar fun and exciting. She wrote everything down in a little book for me that I still have.

Harriet has been teaching my 6 year old son guitar for the past few months. As a complete beginner my son is quickly picking up the basics.
Harriet keeps each lesson fun and exciting and also shows a great deal of patience. I highly recommend Harriet if you are wanting to learn guitar.
Sometimes my son struggles with trying new things, he can become anxious and refuse to even try something. But Harriet has plenty of experience with children and always has a way of diverting the situation and before he even realises it, he is playing!

We would recommend Harriet to any child/parent who is thinking of starting to learn the guitar. Harriet has the right mix of allowing the lessons to be fun for the child as well always making sure the progression is kept up. Our son enjoyed all different types of music and wanted to try different tunes and if Harriet didn’t know the track she would go away and learn it so she could teach him, which made the lessons fun and current for him because it was music he enjoyed and not what was only be taught to him. We enjoyed the scoring system Harriet put in place and we have a deal with him so if he reached an 9/10 mark he would receive a small reward from us. We found this motivated him to focus more on the lesson. We as parents would say Harriet is polite, professional, punctual and flexible with time slots. As I said we would have no problems recommending Harriet to another parent.

Harriet is an amazing guitar teacher - my son loves his lessons- he's gone from complete novice to being able to play oasis and Bowie in an amazingly short time. He's a shy boy (age 11) but now wants to enter the school talent show! Fantastic, couldn't be happier and even better that the lessons are at home, can 100% recommend.

We love Harriet in our house. My 7 year old son looks forward to his lesson every week and through his time with Harriet has conquered frustration and nerves. She has given him the confidence to make mistakes and to persevere. He now has the confidence to play in front of an audience and excited to learn more. I can't quite believe the progress he has made from never having played any instrument to reading music and playing full songs. We also love it when Harriet plays a bit herself for us as she is wickedly talented.
